How to post pictures here........

I will try to explain how to upload pictures to this forum, for those who don't know how to do it:

+++ update 10/2008: please do not use Imagevenue any more, there's too much spam/popups - Imagebam.com seems better and works nearly the same +++

1. First, go to this webpage Imagevenue.
2. Click the button "Browse" and pick the picture on you harddrive you want to post
3. Then click "send file(s)".
4. After the pictures have been uploaded, you will get several possibilities to use.
5. For each picture, highlight and copy the whole code in the text field where it says: "Hotlink a clickable thumbnail on a Forum or Message Board"

The code will look similar to this, check for the url and img tags:


6. Go back to this board, start a new message, paste the copied code into it and click preview. If the image displays correctly on the preview page, you can click submit and you're done!

Hi, I still cant figure out how to upload the pics to the forum. How do i get them from image shack to this post for example ??

OK....so you've managed to upload your images to ImageShack, yeh? So what now???

Click on the 'My Images' link at the top of the ImageShack page - this will bring up a list of all your images. By clicking on the 'Get Code' link next to any of the list of images will take you to a page with a lot of 'Copy URL' links next to blocks of code. The one you want to click on is the fifth one down, just above the thumbnail of your image.

Now go back to your message and paste what you've just copied into the body of it. This'll just paste some code in.

Now when you post the message, rather than the code, a thumbnail will appear!

Hi i'm still confused about the picture posting, i've put some on image shack but dont understand what i need to click on this post to get them here. I am a real novice on a pc so can you explain the cut and pasting bit ? http://img44.exs.cx/img44/3086/Paulette_Myers12.jpg Testing

Sure no need to worry!

After uploading there is a link called "get code". After clicking, there will be several boxes with code. Choose the second one from bottom, it should look similar to



Now you left click on it and it should turn blue to show that it's selected. Then right click and a menu appears where you select "copy". Now the code is on your clipboard.

Start a new topic at the forum, in your message window right click and in the menu that appears, select "paste". Now the code you copied is inside your posting. When you click on submit, a new topic has been posted and everyone will be able to see your picture as preview and be able to click it to see the large version.

Hi, i just tested what you said to do on my previous post but it has not been highlighted in the blue text. How do i do that part please ??
