Denise Austin Posts Under Scrutiny - Beware!

Just wanted to let the forum memebers know that Denise Austin posts on the Web are being removed by some of the hosting services, particularly RapidShare in these cases. When one tries to access these two DA Acquarium vid posts at RapideShare,

You will get a message "This file is forbidden to be shared, Complaints received."

It is well know among the Denise Austin forums hosted on U.S. websites (specifically Yahoo Groups), that Denise's husband (Jeff Austin) is actively pursuing any posts of Denise of a sexual nature (such as we do here!). In the case of the two posts above, I think Jeffy contacted RapidShare and requested the posts be removed. Under United States law, posting any of Denise video is technically copyright infringement. Since RapidShare is hosted in Deutschland (?? I am correct ??), U.S. law may not apply. Just be aware that Jeff Austin is on a crusade to eliminate these types of posting of his wife. For anyone in the U.S., he could bring copyright infringement lawsuit against you if it is proved you were responsible for posting the video of Denise without permission.

Jeff Austin should know that probably 60% of American males (over 30) have watched her workout show and practiced their hose-cleaning techniques while watching. Denise is the one who dressed so scandalously and performed her trapeze acts for everyone to see - what did he expect? Hopefully he doesn't go overboard and hopefully he realizes that men across the nation (and around the world too) enjoy these clips, no matter how infringing they may be.

Denise Austin has provided me thru the years with stacks and stacks of recorded vhs episodes that have relieved my stress countless times. Her workouts were invigorating by all means. Her husband needs to get over it and go play some baseball or something.

I agree completely. There is the argument that Denise put herself in the public domain, and what we do here cannot be brought under a lawsuit. However, copyright under U.S. law is about a use of the "intelectual property" in a manner not approved by the "property" owner. I'm frankly surprised Jeffy has not already pursued civil copyright infringement lawsuits to shut down the Yahoo Groups dedidcated to spreading around Denise's videos. I speculate, but why I think he has not is that to bring such lawsuits is very expensive. But the threat of such a lawsuit to an Internet Service Provider that these vids are uploaded to will get action by the ISP. I do not think any of us as individuals are under immediate threat of legal action, but we should be aware of what has happened at RapidShare.
